Comments: I am looking for adult soccer player's (18 yrs and older) with casual to competitive experience to get together 1-2 times a week for friendly pick up games in the East Valley area (i.e., Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe). Pick up games will be short-sided (2vs2 to 8vs8) to full teams (11vs11) depending on available players. Short-sided games will be played with smaller field dimensions, small goals (i.e. pop up training goals), and no keepers/goalies. These short-sided games are great for working on your foot work and TONS OF FUN! Field locations will be determined based on the availability of players and locations, but generally the fields will be located in Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, and Tempe. Once I get enough interested players, I plan to create additional teams (i.e., men, women, and/or coed) that will represent the Gilbert Galaxy in various adult soccer leagues (recreational and/or competitive) in the East Valley area. These teams will not replace the regular pick up games; they will just be another avenue for soccer junkies to get their fix! Currently we have plenty of roster spots for that. Ideally we would put a team together of nine players (four men, four women, and a goalie). The total teem fee would be 372 dollars which roughly works out to $41 per person for eight games I would like to know if you are interested in playing. Right now registration time has come up for the Spring session with games starting March 27 and running until May 15th (for a total of eight games). Our plans as a team are to probably move down to Coed Recreational 4 (weekend leagues here currently run from premier down to five) so that we can gel as a team and with the departure of a few of our teammates we do have a few roster spots open for the next session. Currently we will play only on Saturdays and typically mid afternoon games. The cost for the team would be $522 (I get an employee discount) and with 11 players (5 guys, 5 girls, and a goalie) that would roughly boil down to $47 a player for the session.
